Dayo Akinola is a resourceful chartered accountant and tax practitioner, risk management professional as well as an erudite leadership coach, financial and industry analyst and corporate strategist with a wealth of over two decades working experience transcending commercial, academic, manufacturing, consulting and banking environments. He has held various positions of responsibility in corporate banking, corporate finance, investment banking, credit appraisal, business development, branch management and risk management as well as serving in various steering committees forces both at Gulf Bank and in addition to being a faculty member of Equitorial Trust Bank (now Sterling Bank Plc) Training Faculty on Credit Structuring and Risk Management as well as Corporate Finance topics since 2000. He is presently a Senior Consulting Partner on Corporate Finance and Risk Management Services with Demvros Financial Resources Consult (DFRC) based in Lagos operating globally.

Dayo has also led and or co-facilitated a number of consulting assignments, local and international training programmes/strategic retreats involving senior delegates from financial regulatory bodies and industry players bordering on strategic human capital development, currency value chain management, market risk, financial modelling,  project finance, leadership and  strategy development, operational risk, credit risk, and debt recovery, energy and power project finance, financial instruments and capital market analysis, corporate governance, business ethics, M&A, strategy crafting, policy design, supply chain management, etc. in Nigeria, West Africa, Asia, Middle  East, the UK and USA.

He is also a prolific writer, researcher and public opinion analyst on issues bordering on management, finance,  and macro-economic matters with several articles already published in widely circulated newspapers and professional journals. Dayo holds a Bachelor of Art Degree in Business Management from the University of Sunderland, United Kingdom, Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree and MSc Finance from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. By professional training and affiliation, He has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) since 1996 and 2000 respectively. Dayo is also a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and a holder of its International Certificate in Banking Risk & Regulation (ICBRR) and FRM certification in addition to being a Professional Risk Manager (PRM) Charter Holder of the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA) both of  the USA. He as well holds the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) Certificate in International Financial Reporting (CertIFR).
